AGM (Absorbed Glass Matt) technology is the next step in the evolution of both starting and deep cycle batteries for all types of applications. This ‘next generation’ technology delivers increased safety, performance and service life over all existing sealed batteries.

We recommend 2 x 100 amp hour batteries for instruments.  These coupled to a dual 80 watt (160 watt) solar panels will usually handle most situations.  Where there are extended days of cloud and rain, then this may needed to be boosted.  We recommend using the smaller 35 amp hour battery for repeater radio stations.
